Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber today announced that Scott Rovn has been promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Since joining PIR in May 2004, Rovn has played an integral role in the sales and marketing efforts of two annual NASCAR Sprint Cup weekends - expanding the track's ticket sales while diversifying a vast corporate partnership and fan entertainment portfolio.

"Scott’s hard work and dedication have been a big part of the success that we have enjoyed over the last number of years here at PIR," said Sperber. “I am confident he will continue his exemplary efforts in this new expanded role.”

A veteran in the motorsports marketing industry, Rovn spent his first four years with PIR as Director of Sales and Marketing. Rovn’s motorsports résumé also includes six years as Senior Director of Marketing and Sales at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International and Nazareth (Pa.) Speedway.

A 1992 graduate of Minnesota State University, Rovn and his wife Michelle have two sons, August and Max, and reside in Glendale.
